I'm Coming...

For a total lack of an idea of what I want to write, I'm going to do the current Day's End challenge:
A Pokémon of your choice has just discovered the Pokémon who killed his/her mother when he/she was still young and is fighting an intense battle against it. It's the closing stages, and unfortunately it's a losing battle. In other words, he/she's going to lose. Aww... You can write it in first or third person, which ever.
~.~.~.~.~
The water wirled around her, filled with bubbles from the intensity of the battle. Her enemy had blood seeping out of the base of his tail, turning the water around him a pinkish colour similar to that of her own ballroom dress-like tail. But she was tiring, and he showed no signs of slowing down. He had gotten Shiri's mother, all those years ago, now the reckless Golduck was going to finish Shiri off.
He powered through the bubbles of the sea, snapping his strong bill on the tip of Shiri's fin and running his claws through her tail. He whisked around, his front 'flippers' over his face, so only his piercing red eyes and glowing red jewel could be seen.
Shiri knew exactly what was coming next, and her eyes widened in horror, then narrowed in determination. He may be strong, he may be fast, but Shiri knew se had to defeat him. He had tormented and killed Goldeen everywhere for no reason, now it was time for Shiri to fight back.
Shaking her bleeding tail, she powered through the water as fast as she could, horn lowered and aimed right at the Golduck's chest. She was barely two meters from him when the Hyper Beam was finally let loose.
The flash blinded her, throwing off her sense of balance and direction. A split second later, the horrible force of the beam hit hersquare in the chest. She felt the water rush past her, the pain of the attack filling every vein in her body. Even though her eyes were clenched shut, she could stll only see the bright white of the Hyper Beam, or was it the bright white of pain? She couldn't tell.
Slowly, the painful white turned to an almost blissful black. "I'm coming, mother," Shiri thought, "I'm coming..."
