Went to the Show today =D In brief:
o got up bloody 7am. Not done that since SCHOOL unless it was to catch a plane.
o Brekky on Currie Street just cos Show didn't open for another half hour. That's how early we were. Mmm, ham and cheese croissant X9
o Bussed it to Show
o Bummed around with K8 looking at stuff =D
o Horsies!
o Kitties!
o Free lettuce! Oh yes, you read right. You so envy. Especially since the guys giving away free lettuce had Irish accents X)~
o Pretty flowers~ and orchids and BONSAIS
o Piggies smell, but they're cute
o Woodchopping is always impressive, but we didn't get to see the tree =(
o SCUBA BAND!!!!!!111 OMFG. BEST THING EVAR. Photo tomorrow, but basically, three blokes walking around in scuba gear, complete with snorkel, flippers and tank, playing musical instruments. You WISH you had the Show in your city.
o Danced to music in flower pavillion, and country music in front of pork spare ribs stall =3
o Clydesdales pulling Coopers beer wagon <3
o Jubilee pavilion with homeware stuff. $100 for a stick of polished wood. YAY expensive pool cues =D
o Midday-ish, Brd rocked up =D Then Carly and Christian later on.
o Bummed around doing much the same. K8 and I got bored of seeing the same things again, and got lunch. Show has best spuds in state.
o Started raining. Piss. Didn't really stop all day. Buggery crap. BloodyCOLDdamnFREEZINGbloodyICYFREAKINGCOLDBASTARD ><
o Rides =D Flashy lights~ and UPSIDE DOWN and WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE movies tomorrow
o FREE SAMPLES! Of various foodstuffs. Including mini-camembert that I had to buy a round of, because it was SO GOOD, omfg. Yoghurt~ and CHOCOLATE and honey~ and salsa~ and various other yummy bits =9
o Another ride! =D Laughed head off, fun times, movies tomorrow agian.
o Show bags~ =D Bertie Beetle, obviously, Twisties and~ another chocolate one. I forget now. Kit Kat, that's the one.
o Fireworks! =D Got cut off halfway through, cos of wind. Sucked, but we were told they weren't having them at all, so in hindsight, we got more than we though anyway, so we were happy =3 Also, K8 inadvertantly jumped in a small lake on the way up the steps. Packed up again. Poor girl XD;;
In conclusion: Jeans soaked to knees, COLD all over, feet cane, but wheeeee fun =DD HOT shower when I got home, rice~~ and warm, ruined slightly by finding a WHITE TAILED SPIDER IN MY TOWEL AS I WAS ABOUT TO WRAP MY HAIR IN IT. It had a nasty encounter with my shoe tho, so we're all good.
