( the questions )28. Have you ever written a character with physical or mental disabilities? Describe them, and if there’s nothing major to speak of, tell us a few smaller ones.Nimay and Yamin are mute! Mostly. Laugh and cry with voice, but no talking. This is a magic-related thing that manifests as a physical disability, but it still counts. It'd be weird writing them with voice now. I've gotten so used to writing their mannerisms and the way they get their point across with gestures and facial expressions that words would just feel like cheating. Very, very occasionally it can frustrate me, but the easy solution to that is to have it frustrate them, too.
Aside from them, we have Emon and Rumal, who are each missing a finger, but they both pretty much shrug that off as an occupational hazard. Yan has a living impairment! Cos he's dead. Does that count? I mean, it's not exactly a commonly found disability XD
Flannel Flower is completely batshit, but she was less so through
Bouquet. She bloody will be in SH, though. Dungeoned for a coupla decades, no hope of escape, resigned herself to living a crap life and dying dishonourably only to go through life all again to do it right. I've been looking forward to her SH appearance for YEARS.
And that's the lot of 'em. Really only the twins count, I think.
