Writing Meme Day 29

29. How often do you think about writing? Ever come across something IRL that reminds you of your story/characters?
Question one, mmmmost of the bloody time, unless I'm being distracted by something entirely unrelated. Best places to think about writing are in the car or on the bus going somewhere, in the shower, trying to go to sleep, anywhere stuff isn't happening. Or when I have no chance whatsoever of being able to do any writing. Figures.
Part two, occasionally. Anything assassin-related reminds me of writing cos I have a thing for assassins X) Obviously desert reminds me of Raykin, going to the tropics is like going to Kazin... I don't tend to make oblique connections. More often what happens is that I like something from real life and shove it at Raykin. For example, the way Ni-Yana treats the Own comes from the way my city treats afl footy players. Kris daggers are awesome so I gave them to Flannel Flower, along with the tradition that comes with them from Indonesia.
