I have good news and somewhat crappy news.
Good news: Passport is lodged! Finally! I can go pick it up on the 22nd, so that's shiny. Woman at the Post Office in the city decided I wasn't allowed to be smiling in my photo and pointed us to the Department of Foreign Affairs, who didn't look twice at it. The whole of bloody Aussie Post is dodgy, I'm tellin' ya >0 Anyway, that's done.
Somewhat crappy news: I can't study in Pommyland second semester. Head of Journalism wasn't there when I went up, but she fi~nally replied ot my email, wherein she said she wasn't sure whether it was too late or not to lodge an application, but I can check with this other woman. So, rang her up and~ applications closed in November. Bugga. So I've emailed head of Journalism back to ask about deferring second semester instead. If that doesn't work, I'll go back to the original plan of going for a coupla weeks instead. I wouldn't be able to go to the Ashes, but dem's the breaks. There'll be other Ashes series in Pommyland; I can go some other time =3 Like when I'm reporting on them >DD
