Fri, Jun. 24th, 2005 02:56 pmYes! That is the cricket I'm used to seeing! Well, almost. No imposing 300+ total, but it was a convincing win nonetheless, and McGrath was brilliant again, and all is right with the world. Three down for six runs *^^* Ah~ love it *^^*
This week has been so up-and-down. Footy on Saturday was brilliant; cricket on Saturday was shithouse; Sunday was generally shithouse, including working with a blister on my foot and more cricket, then car died; car was fixed on Wednesday and required no money to fix it, yay!; cricket last night was fabby again.
Now, either the high will continue for French exam tomorrow morning, or~ we'll come back down in a crashing heap again. We're hoping for the former =3;
Oh yeah, saw The Longest Yard on Wednesday with K8. Was good until they started playing an actual game of American football, at which point we both kinda stared and exchanged "so... is that good?" glances. I'm sure that bit of the movie woulda been better if we either knew at least the basic rules of American football, or~ it was Aussie rules. I think I started to get some vague semblance of understanding of the rules by the end, but still... Aussie rules > American rules. Seems to be about ten seconds of jumping on top of each other and going hell-for-leather for the other end of the... field/ground/playing area... then they stop and do it all again.
Pfft. Our footy is so, so much better ♥
