Computers have not~ been my friend for the past three-ish days >< On Wednesday for the Art Freehand pooter course thingo, I had to restart one twice to make it work, printed one sheet and the thing froze, and because it's one of the eMacs, you can't just yank the cord out to get the thing to work. So~ went to another pooter to print, and that one was stuffed too. Well, not the pooter as such, the printer. Bloody thing wouldn't clean itself. After 16 reprints/cleans (no exaggeration, I counted), I gave up and now have a blue goat with lines through it (it's s'posed to be blue, just not with lines) and a brown pig that was orange on the other printer (it's s'posed to be orange).
But wait kiddies! There's more! Was doing English application last night (due today) and pooter crashed the second I dold it to print. Had to restart twice to make it work. Two paper jams and an unexplained "40 error" (suspiciously like a 404...) later, gave up on the laser and turned on the inkjet, which promptly ran out of ink after the first sheet. Ran out of colour ink and I was printing nothing but black, figures. So, open new ink cartridge and stuff up the little rip-off tag thingo that goes on top (you know what I mean), stuck it in anyway and finally managed to print. Only it got stuck halfway through the second page, then the pooter froze again. Tried printing again and something stuffed up, forget what exactly, but basically I gave up and uploaded it to the VPN to print today for school. Oh yeah, and bloogum went down last night too, dunno if that really counts, wasn't too major.
So, surf around the school today trying to find an unlocked pooter room with a colour printer, eventually find one and tell it to print. Someone didn't load the paper properly, so it came out crooked. Print again, and not long after it's started the first page, it stops printing and tells me (as it has for the last... 4-5ish weeks) that it's running low on black ink. Click 'continue' and it promptly starts printing page two, having done barely 3cm of page one, without even spitting out the first page. Two pages on one sheet of paper, how ingenious. Print again and eventually get the bloody thing working.
Printers and pooters have not been on my side for a while.
On the plus side, it's Friday~ and I've finished my lessons~ and lunch starts in half an hour~ and Kate and I bought (well, I bought, she contributed 10cents cos she bought the Subway last time, so I owe her half a Sub) some Cheezles and a Coke yesterday to eat/drink~ and there's nothing I need to print for a while =DD
Still pissed off with various pieces of machinery tho >
