Oh yeah, Happy Australia Day =D

We did bugger-all, in typical Aussie style. Watched the cricket and had fillet mignon for dinner. Fillet mignon was done on the barbey tho, so does that count? Oo; Meh, we did our celebrating and stuff last night at Skyshow. And we're having two barbeys this week--friends of the parental units are coming up on Wednesday, and K8 and Joanna are coming up with their respective family units on Sunday, so we're doing stuff, just not on the actual day. And in fact none of this has anything to do with it being Australia Day.

Drawn during the cricket, yup, that it was. Attempted realism, tho I don't really know that I pulled it off. No reference photos apart from a few eagles, and they're not yrae (yraes? What's the plural form of yrae? Oo;;), unfortunately. Feather on top of its head is... iffy at best. Meh, I like the feathers on its neck, and its beak.

Now I rea~lly need to get onto finishing Yamin's profile. It's been sitting there for weeks, poor girl ^^;

Skyshow was fun~ =D The second that the music for the fireworks started on safm, my radio randomly decided to go dead. Freaked out, turned it back on, it died again 10 seconds later. Promptly told it not to frigging have flat batteries on me, turned it down a few notces, and it behaved all the way through and back to the car, so dunno what its problem was.

Randomly saw three people we knew there, which is just freaky because there were several hundred-thousand people there.

Ooh, and we saw the strangest thing walking back to teh car! While we were waiting at the pedestrian lights on Light Square, a cop car came up to the intersection, stuck its siren on, turned right through the red light, so we both started looking for someone doing something illegal, but then he turned the siren off and drove off. He was using the siren to cut through traffic! Dodgy cop! We were yelling "cheat~!" after him when he drove off X3

So then~ we got home and bummed around for about an hour burning cds and scanning uni stuff she hadn't gotten. Drove K8 home and bummed around for another hour, before deciding we may as well watch a movie (which was Idle Hands. Odd but funny X3), and I got home about an hour ago ^^

So yus, fun time had by all.

But seriously, that cop XDD Cheat~~~!
