the raykinian calendar

I just realised, I've put up two character profiles for Silent Harmony (previously Exactly Different) with freaky dates on them and I'm yet to explain how the Raykinian calendar works. My bad XD; So, here you go. Beware, it's kinda confusing, even moreso for the northern-hemispherians, but once you get the hang of it, it makes sense.
K, they don't have months. The year is instead divided into summer, autumn, winter and spring, with each season beginning on the respective solstice/equinox. For us this is the 23rd day of the first month of that season, so their first day of winter is for us the 23rd of June (they're in the southern hemisphere. Hah, sucks to all your northern hemispherians XP~), the second of winter would be the 24th, the 10th would be the 2nd of July, and~ on you go 'til you get to the first of spring, which would be September 23rd.
With me so far? No? I really need to sketch out a calendar, don't I? *does that*

edit = I forgot about years. Years are easy. Quite simply, X years before/after the first yrae was discovered. Ani means before, Minya means after, so Ani Yrae (AY) is Before Yrae, and Minya Yrae (MY) is After Yrae. Silent Harmony begins in 4053MY, so 4053 years after the yrae was discovered. Considerably easier, ne? X3
