It's suddenly gone cold. Like, the kind of cold that won't go away unless you curl up in bed with the electric blanket on and a bloody big hot chololate. Yeah~ that kind of cold. Bugga .-.

I swear I had something worthwhile saying... Nup, it's gone. Meh.

Footy~!

Righto overseasians, I'm going to teach you lot footy. The educated Aussies (and the one educated Pommie) can ignore this post, cos it's seriously the rawest of basics. Everyone else, ( read on... )

So there you go, Aussie Rules. So, so much better than soccer. And rugby. And gridiron. And Gaelic football. Which is pretty much the same only with a round ball. But still, Aussie Rules > any other rules.

Oh yeah, forgot one thing: 'narti's order of preference for footy teams.

Adelaide Crows~~~ <3 <3 <3
WA teams (West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers), Brisbane Lions and Sinny Swans (pretty much indifferent to this lot, but being a South Aussie, we prefer that they beat the Vics X3 We're starting to dislike the Brisbane lot tho, cos they won the Grand Final three years in a row, and were runners up last year. Queenslanders don't even care about footy! They're a rugby state!)
Victo~~rian teams (which is about half of them. Footy originaly started in Victoria, yasee)
Collingwood Magpies (who're Victorian, but they're particularly bad. Their supporters spit on their players and throw bottles at them, and their players have something of a killmaimdestroy attitude on the field)
Port Power (the other Adelaide team. The Crows/Power rivalry I think is the biggest rivalry in the sport. Called a Showdown when the two play each other. They're the only team below Collingwood in my books *nods*)

Thank you, thank you XD Mind you, there was barely a goal in it right up until about halfway through the final quarter, then suddenly, BOOM. Absolute blowout on the Crows' behalf XDD Two goals within the last, what, two minutes? Including one about 5 seconds before the final siren <3 Also~ we were playing in Sydney, and apparently Sydney has only dropped one game there in their last ten, and then the Crows go there and basically thrash 'em in the last few minutes.

And what makes it even better? The Power drew last night >DD Course, if bloody Carlton had gotten one more point, then Port would seriously be the very bottom of the ladder. As it stands, they're number nine =P But if they'd lost? Then they'd still have only four points, same as everyone else in the bottom eight, and~ their percentage would therefore stick them dead last. i r teh amused~

Crows on the other hand, right up at number 4 <3 And they've even got second best percentage, which is rather spiffy. Yes I know~ we're only four rounds into the season, but we're winning, damnit! It's an exciting moment for a Crows supporter, cos it doesn't happen as often as we'd like!
