I'm awake! =DD Once I got here yesterday arvo, I slept~ for about three hours, then we went out to a Chinese restaurant for Jane's (Sallie's sister) hen's night, which was fun =D I was sorta awakeish, tho kinda staring into space for half of it >>;; I think people knew I was just stuffed and jetlagged tho, so 'sall good.
And! I have a bananalamb! J00 so envy X)
Now, flist, cos I haven't read that since Dubai at 5am yesterday. I have no idea how long that is ^^;
Oh yeah, flight. You know how I had a baby in front of me from Bangkok to Dubai? Dubai to Manchester: FIVE BABIES. EVERY ONE OF THEM SQUAWKED. There should so be a sectioned off area on the plane for people with babies. A separate room entirely, because that is just EVIL.
However, I did discover that ICE (Info, communication & entertainment system on Emirates) is better than Krisworld (on Singapore Airlines). They had I think it was 100-odd songs, including some Aussie stand-up, which was fun (Hillsy~), and a lotta movies. I mean, seriously, lotta. Like, upwards of a hundred. No Nintendo tho, but that was okay. I totally forget what I watched... I think it was an episode of CSI and... oh yeah, Monsters Inc. And another movie. Meh. I wasn't awake.
We took off an hour late tho >< First up, someone lost some medical thing at the airport, so they spent half an hour looking for that, then we taxied around the airport for about ten minutes, only to spend another twenty sitting in a queue of planes waiting to take off. There were three in front of us, with another one landing in between, and a few behind as well. After all that tho, Sallie said we only got in about ten minutes late, so that wasn't too bad =3
Took a~ges for my suitcase to come off the plane. I think I was one of the last, becuause I'd transferred from another flight rather than actually getting on in Dubai, but yus, got that, then there was nobody at the declaration point, so didn't declare my maccadamias (=0 I know! Evil 'narti!) and finally got out to see teh SALLIE~! Who is ezacly the same as in the photos and shtuff ♥
People back in Adelaide, K8 and family unit, I miss j00~ ♥
