Fri, Nov. 11th, 2005 11:42 pmI also printed off the alteration to my plane tickets, which I guess I shoulda done earlier, but I didn't want to think about that when I first got it last month. Cos it means saying goodbye. But yes, printed that off and put it in my Important Stuff pocket thingie with my passport and money in about six currencies.
What's the alteration, you ask? Welp, my father dearest decided he didn't want to get up so early to pick me up from the airport, so he's leaving me in Singapore for another HOUR AND A HALF. Because clearly a 38-hour plane journey isn't long enough, and he's doing his best to make it a nice round FORTY. So the family unit can get an extra hour in bed.
Forty hours sounds bad enough on its own, dunnit? But you don't reallly get the full impact from that. It means that I get up at, say, 7:30, 8:00, get to Manchester airport at 10-ish, take off from around midday, then Sallie goes home, lives out the rest of the day, goes to bed, wakes up, lives another day, goes to bed again, and halfway through that night, I land in Adelaide.
Thirty-eight hours, what's another one and a half, eh?
*twitchytwitch*
I want a whole bloody entourage when I land in Adelaide, thank you very bloody much ¬¬## I know from comments who's been reading this thing from Adelaide, and I know where you live~!
