OMFG Xx;;;;;;
Ashes tickets? Damn near impossible =DD###
I got onto the site at lunch time, so three hours after they'd opened up sales, and Sydney was already completely sold out. Adelaide was fine tho, all five days available. "Squee!" says 'narti, and goes on to purchase tickets for four days of Test cricket. Because buying tickets for day five is silly since it might not even happen.
Site congested.
I was hitting that button for a good twenty minutes while I was eating my croissant, and it wouldn't smegging WORK >< SO PISSY.
But hey, it's Adelaide, thinks 'narti. Adelaide can't sell 30 000 tickets (capacity of the ground for one day) in a day. I'll be fine =D
Debbie, my boss, went home early cos she was feeling sick, so I got to check again at 4ish. Days ONE AND TWO SOLD OUT. AT THE ADELAIDE OVAL. We haven't sold out a single day of Test cricket since 1976, I think they said on the radio. So I tried for day three, still no joy. Decide "bugger it =D" and went home early at about 4:30.
Back home quarter past 5, day THREE has sold out. That's almost a hundred thousand tickets.
So I whacked the "purchase tickets" button for another minute or so with no luck, gave up and went on reserved seating instead of general admission, and now I have tickets for day four, one for me and one for Mum =3
One day. I wanted all five >< Day one at the very least, but no, day four, which could very well finish two hours in. I'm not sure whether I'm gutted I missed out on THREE DAYS of the match, or happy because I'll at least be at the ground to watch my bois play, which is more than a lot of people will be able to say.
Fuh xX They reckon they're going to sell out the MCG as well for the Boxing Day Test. Sum total of half a million tickets. Woah.
Still, bonus is that it wasn't half as much as the tickets in Pommyland X3 Old Trafford I think was something like 60 pounds for one day. My ticket? 25 dollars, so about 10 pounds. Oh~ yean >D
...
I'm going to the freaking ASHES! I'll be watching Glenn McGrath, Justin Langer, Matty Hayden and Shane Warne in probably their last series on Aussie soil! ...For one day. But still! I'll be there! *^^*
OMG I want December 4th NOW, plskthx.
