Writing Meme Day 12
Fri, May. 14th, 2010 05:09 pm( the questions )
12. In what story did you feel you did the best job of worldbuilding? Any side-notes on it you’d like to share?
And this is where I feel lazy because I've only ever built one world, and really only 'finished' one kingdom in it. Kazin's mostly there, Llayad's... mostly a stereotype with bits of real life tacked onto it, and Tsayth's 100% stereotype. The closer I get to writing a kingdom in Silent Harmony, the more I'll start working on it.
So~ yeah. Um. Not really one story that's built the world so much as maaaany many short stories showing various bits of the kingdoms, hence Raykin being the best-developed with about a million stories, and Tsayth being at the bottom with about two. Silent Harmony: Rust obviously shows Raykin off best. Bouquet did a lot to get Kazin moving along, and I'm sure Vermillion will do the same for Llayad if I get back to that. I need to write more minifics.
