Sat, Sep. 10th, 2005 04:53 pmI bloody LOVE those bois! Damn I wish I could've been watching that game. As it was I had to settle for watching the afl.com.au scoreboard keep going up... and up... and up... and up summore.
CROWS! 18 . 15 . 123
Power (boo~) 5 . 10 . 40
Eighteen goals! OMFG LOVE. Meaning next weekend is the semis, and we're playing the Weagles again. Up until three weeks ago, I would've been going "eep" by this point, but now? Bring. It. On.
Also? Mum's a wimp cos she wouldn't watch until the Crows were double Port's score. Wimp~! XD
And! Cricket is shiny =DD Langer made his century (woo~!) then Hayden got his (woo~!) and we've currently got 243 runs, with just Langer's wicket gone. Now that is the kind of cricket we should've been playing this whole series. Finally they've remembered who they are and that they're actually really bloody good.
Now if only it'd stop raining...

Date: Sat, Sep. 10th, 2005 04:13 pm (UTC)I recorded the match with the 5AA soundtrack and will make another recording off the Fox Footy Channel, starting in about 20 mins. That should keep you happy when you get home, even if there's an, er, unmentionable loss next Saturday night.
As for the cricket, it really does look like the weather will win this one, yes?
Are you going to watch Lleyton a little later, playing Federer?
As I said earlier, wow - what a sporting night! 1:36am here and we have a hiatus while we wait... and wait... and wait for the rain in London to stop. Lleyton's tennis should start at about 5am here at the earliest - I guess that's about 8:30pm Sat UK time. Will you be watching? (His good mate Andrew McLeod said that he will!)

Date: Sat, Sep. 10th, 2005 04:19 pm (UTC)Tennis, I have no~ idea where that'd be. We don't have any of the sports channels, and I wouldn't even know if they're showing it there, let alone on the non-sports channels. That and we're leaving for a party in a bit, dunno when we'll be back.
Appologies to Mum, well done to her watching such a nail-biting encounter XD I should hope she's going to watch the game next weekend X3

Tennis: We're talking the US Open here, one of the Big 4 grand slam tournaments. It's certain to be on UK TV somewhere.

Date: Sat, Sep. 10th, 2005 11:25 pm (UTC)Kidding X3
I'll see if I can find it on telly somewhere. Thing is, free-to-air/pay tv works the complete opposite here to in Australia. Pay tv gets first pick of live sporting events, then if they don't want it, it goes to free-to-air, even with that England/Wales soccer match when we were leaving Cardiff. I'll look for it tho.

Date: Sun, Sep. 11th, 2005 01:36 am (UTC)Ade/Port was a great game (nowhere near as good as Syd/Geelong though OMFG @_@) ... so my optimism has turned into cautious optimism instead.
Let's talk about the cricket instead! Yaaay! o_o;;

Date: Sun, Sep. 11th, 2005 06:26 am (UTC)Just a bit of bathing and a general scrub-up.
Have you heard of the "Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool"? I guessed not! It was released about a month ago by Microsoft and it stops many of the updates for Windows XP from being installed on, er, non-compliant PCs.
Anyway, a work-around was released by a smart computer nerd out there in cyberspace. I've been using it for a while and it works seamlessly so it's now on your machine. It's amazing how MS probably spent a few million $$ of programmers time developing "Genuine Advantage" yet a uni student somewhere manages to crack it, literally, within hours of being released.
I then put your machine to work updating itself - there was quite a lot of activity both with Windows updates and Norton Virus Protection updates.
I turn your PC on every few weeks just to check that mice haven't devoured the hard disk or anything.
Love,
Your strong, silent maintenance man (Dad)
