Listening to BBC Radio Merseyside at the moment. Talk sort of funny, don't they? Do the locals talk like that?
They're talking about eating Scouse - what on earth is THAT? And now they want money - the BBC "Change for the Good appeal." I don't think the ABC would dare do that! Sounds like the weather is grim at the moment. Mum can't wait for summer time to start here next week - the sun is getting up at 5am.
Also tried out BBC Radio Sheffield - that's also an interesting regional accent.
What radio do you listen to, if any? If it streams on the net, let me know! BBC 1 sounds very different to what it was when I was in the UK a long time ago - lots more talking. It was once all music. And Cockney accent it seems! Whatever happened to the Queen's English in - the home of English! How are us colonials supposed to keep up the standard against the US onslaught?
