Someone recommend to me a beautiful movie. I'm thinking along the lines of Memoirs of a Geisha or Chocolat, where the cinematography and soundtrack almost become characters in their own right. I need more of those kinds of movies in my repertoire.

I'd have to recommend The Brave One. Its violent but the cinematograhpy is very nice (some extrodinarily well framed shots) and the sound is extrodinary - not so much the soundtrack but the sound effects. You have to see the film to understand I think.
