I have a thing =( Possibly tonsillitis, but frig knows at this point. Started as sore throat on Tuesday, the kind of prelude-to-a-cold sore throat, but since then, no cold, just throat getting worse and worse. People still keep warning me it'll develop sooner or later, but srsly, I've got nothing else from a cold. I can breathe fine (until the air hits the back of my throat, anyway, then there's a bit of burning), I'm not tired, not coughing at all (thank god, that would CANE), no temperature, no achey joints or general feeling of blah, just the sore throat.

I've been living on Soothers and Butter Menthols for the last four days, and hot chocolate and Lemsip. Last night I woke up every three hours, when the Nurofen had worn off, so drugged myself up on more of that and went back to bed for another three hours.

Today~ all the above stopped really having much of an effect, and hot chocolate hurt~ because of the swallowing, not the hot. Also, blood happened! :D So then my talk of pain got taken more seriously, and Mum sees swollen redness and also little yellow dots right about where my tonsils are. Sweet.

SO. Doctor tomorrow morning, and hopefully it IS tonsillitis, or something that can at least be treated with antibiotics. Mmm, antibiotics.

Until then, I sit here with my mostly-empty glass just to spit into because swallowing, as I say, BLOODY CANES.

I'm so not getting any sleep tonight. Paaaaaaain :<

edit~ Yep, tonsillitis. My friendly family doctor* looked down my throat for about three seconds and went "ooh yeah, that's tonsillitis all right."
