So not a LOT has changed since the last photo update, but it's all FINISHED now so here's the proper tour :D Of note here, curtains on the left and jewellery board behind the door. Literally the only thing left from the old room is Ted. Ted will never be updated.


I don't think anything's changed on this shot, just that it's daytime so the lighting's better.


Curtains! They're so pretty <3


Showing off the detailing on my chest of drawers. Beautiful wood, and that carving is on everywhere <3


Again, because I promised I'd take photos of the lights in daylight. Room's still pretty underexposed behind them but whatever, better than the night shots. ALSO curtains, and my beautiful blind, through which I can see when it's light outside AND through which light can come in, but which nobody can see through from outside 8DDD That's my front garden. The green you see on the ground there is weeds growing through the scoria, not lawn. They look better than scoria tho so I'm leaving them there.


Yo bitches. When in bed with Shwiggy, this is what I mean, only with the said laptop which tends to live on the bedside table. Also under the covers and in PJs.


Jewellery pinup board is back in business! Most of it's been okay until now, either propped up on my old chest of drawers or just sitting on the floor, but the dangling necklaces at the bottom have all been in a tangled mess so I haven't worn them since moving in. Perfect spot for it, though. I've never worn the white feather earrings. Even for me they're a bit ridiculous XD


ARTY SHOT. Curtains, bedspread, wall/chest of drawers, curtains again. Colour correcting all these was pretty impossible, especially the top one. Curtains are more like the bottom picture and wall more like the middle one.


Progress shots! From brand new purchase wtill with the bedhead attached to the wall, through painting, carpeting, new furniture and wardrobe to the final lighting and curtains installation. And Ted's been there through it all <3 Except initial purchase cos I wasn't living there yet.


Living/dining progress! Curtains, once again, which make the room feel SO much cosier than the vertical blinds ever did. It's just so much warmer to have a wall covered in fabric instead of shitty closed-in blinds that block out light but not people. Now I have a blind that blocks out people but not light. It's beautiful.


Back the other way, capitalising on morning sunlight. Not visible: the ceiling fan on the kitchen floor. You can see the roll of carpet mats next to the fridge that haven't yet found homes. Also my glorious spring onions growing in the window.


And, as promised, better-lit shot of the lights. They are so gorgeous <3


No change there, just daytime, with the blind up since I can now twist the cord around something.

And now I take a break until spring, when the garden will get underway. No more views of galvanised iron fence and thistles! No more crappy old pavers, concrete and scoria! No more rusty old tank that has rust floating in the water you get out of it! GREENERY! LIVING THINGS! I am excited. But way too goddamn cold to get started now.
