OMFG the footy o@;;; That was just whacked. First half was utter crap, but I missed most of that cos I was at work, so not too annoyed with working then X);; We were down 9 to 40-odd at one stage, and finished the first half 11 to 43 I think. Something like that. Like I say, utter crap.
Then stuff happened, and two minutes before the final siren we'd gotten to within TWO POINTS! Going from more than 30 points down to 2, that's just incredible. Then Brisbane got another point and a goal, leaving us with a minute or so to go, and then it was pretty much gone. Getting two goals in a minute doesn't happen too often, especially when it's the last minute, so when the opposition gets the footy they don't let go of it, just kick it to people who're completely open, even if it doesn't actually move the game forward at all, so our guys can't touch them. Bloody running the clock down ><
Honestly tho, if they'd played the first half like they had the second? Woulda been brilliant. As it was I was biting my nails and swearing at the telly for the whole of the last quarter. "No! Not you! Yes! Mark the bloody thing! No~~ bugger OFF! ... Yesyesyesyesyesyes COME ON BALL KEEP FLYING~~ NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO he hit the POST!!! ><#####"
And I was just watching it on telly XD;
<3 for Roo tho. There was one point where he kicked a goal from, like, 65 metres out =0 And he nearly did it again (I think, mighta been someone else. Pretty sure it was him tho) but hit the post, which is still pretty amazing from that far out. <3 for Roo~~ Also love how whenever he's looking like getting the ball the entire crowd yells out "ROOOO~!" X) Sounds so cool even on telly. It's just subtly different from a boo~~ so that South Aussies knowwhat's going on, but anyone from interstate would be tinking "...Why're they booing their own player? Oo Stupid Adelaideans." Hee X)
But yes. Summing up, BLOODY ARG. BLOODY FRICKIN' ARG. There were TWO POINTS in it so close to the end! What the hell happened (or didn't, more to the point) in the first half? My GOD I'm glad I wasn't around to see that. Woulda been worse than the last few minutes. Fuh~~ Xx
