How long have I been waitressing? Since winter hollies, so, June... 6 months. Got my first pissy table tonight =D;; Or pissy takeaway, whatever, pissy customers, that works.
They started out just ordering fried rice and spring rolls for takeaway, then decided when they came back to pick it up that they'd just eat it at the restaurant. Just... tip out the takeaway things onto plates and eat at the table Oo Basically, expecting table service, plates, cutlery, all that kind of stuff, for takeaway prices. So I told them "No~ But if you just wait here I'll go get the manager for you and see what he can do =D"
So, go get Billy, who says "oO No~ Oo Go back and tell them no~ they can't."
Meanwhile, back in the dining room, the bastards have just grabbed themselves a table ¬¬# Tell them in my happy!waitress voice that "Sorry, no, we can't do that for you," and the mother just looked at me, quite shocked, and demanded, "Wh..Well, why not? oO" As if she just expected it'd be fine and dandy to be cheapskates on us! Bitch ¬¬
Explain stuff in happy!waitress mode, while slowly getting seriously pissy with them, and eventually just bugger it and go get Billy to talk with them.
So, Billy does that, figures stuff out and charges them more on top of the takeaway price, then blames me for letting them sit down ._.;; "I told you many times, come ask me when customers ask for funny things >O" He was fine once I'd explained that I told~ them to wait, but the stinges just sat themselves down while I was going to get him. So yeah, got him directing anger at the stinges rather than me, so 'sall goot.
After they'd gone, he said they were asking Bernie (other waitress there tonight) which was bigger; the takeaway or dine in fried rice. How much more stingey could you possibly get! ¬¬ Fleh~ .-.
Also had a table for 6 just wander in. No booking, just group of uni students decided "we want Chinese =D" and came in. 'part from the lack of booking tho, they were good X3 They thought they were pretty spiffy going for the Asian beers X) And one of the guys was getting excited when each of the dishes came out until I called out what it was.
"Oooh~ is it mine?"
"[insert name of dish here]"
"*shoulder slouch* Aww~ ._."
He ended up with a sizzling one tho. Damn spitty Mongolian Lamb =P That one hurts to take out. Best reaction I've ever seen to getting a sizzling dish tho. I mean, they always get people going "oooh~~" but this guy was fully paying everyone out XD So yeah, that table was good. Woulda been nice if they'd booked, but~ 'sall goot. Bernie stayed on another hour <3 Said she couldn't leave me alone with the stingey!table X3
In other news: 53 minut--52 minutes to Chrissy =D And I'm not working then. Not enough bookings, so he's going to work with just the kitchen and his daughter (they're Hong Konganese, as K8 would say X3 So don't celebrate Chrissy). So 'sall goot there too ^^
