Mmm, beach hair. It's all salty and tangled XD; Ya gotta love it. Obviously didn't go swimming--Uko said the water doesn't get above about 3 degrees--but we did wander along the beach a bit, and poke the water with a tentative toe when the feet started to cane again. It's all pebbly~ XDD
We started off by going onto the Brighton Pier, which is more of a theme park over the water than your typical pier. Lots of flashing lights, merry-go-rounds, ghost house, even a roller coaster with a loop-the-loop, but not a single person actually fishing. Also a lot of poor sods pretending it was summer, lying on deck chairs and covering themselves with beach towels, and other people actually swimming. Poor bastards, not knowing what summer really is X3
Main reason for going on the pier tho was the Doctor Who exhibition, which Uko's successfully addicted me to over the past coupla weeks. Daleks are teh cool, so there X3 Didn't have the tardis there tho, cos they're actually filming the next series right now and strangely enough they'd rather have the thing to film rather than stick it on show. Bastids. I woulda bought something at the end, but all they really had were mouse pads and keyrings, and a lot of stuff from the older series. The only series I know is the most recent one, so the other stuff doesn't really mean anything.
Anyway. fish and chips for lunch, as ya do at the beach, then bought some Brighton rock, so I've now had Yorkshire pudding in Yorkshire, Brighton rock in Brighton, and a full English breakfast in England (more specifically Barnsley). Still need my Cornish pastie in Cornwall and Devonshire tea in Devon tho X3
That's about it really. Just wandered around Brighton trying to find this sand sculpture thing and failing miserably. There were signs advertising it everywhere, including a plane in the sky with one of those word tails trailing behind it, but none of the signs actually told us where it was, so we'll be getting Uko's uncle to show us either later on tonight or tomorrow before we leave for Wales. I'll be buggered if I know where we're going in Wales. I can't even pronounce the place, let alone spell it. Llaughenstafen or something. It's Welsh =P
.....
*thumps cricket team* STOP GETTING OUT, YA BASTIDS!
Ok, so that one wasn't Martyn's fault, but the point still stands!
