Well, it's a gorgeous day, so I figured why not? Showing off the pritti parts of Adelaide =D

Starting with Beehive Corner, better known as Haigh's~~ X9~~ Which, as we all should know by now, is heaven on earth *nods wisely* And it's right at the end of~

Rundle Mall. I could've gone up it to get piccies of the Malls Balls and the bronze pigs, but~ I couldn't be stuffed. My excuse is that it was too hot. (It was 30 degrees; I was lazy X3;)

Keep going down King William Street, and then you hit North Terrace, which is where all the kind of artsy cultury buildings are in Adelaide--museum, library, art gallery, botanic gardens, etc etc. Parliament House is behind me, but I couldn't be stuffed taking a photo of that cos the lights went green, and it's really just a big old grey building with heaps or random Roman pillars anyway *shrug*

Go over North Terrace, King William Street turns into King William Road (...yeah, we're original) and~ more artsy stuff. South Australia's the festival state, so here's our Festival Theatre, complete with random yukkas on the left, and... big... silver... prism... things on the right. Another reason we're the festival state? We literally have three big arts festivals going on in one month. There's the Fringe, the Festival of Arts, and Womadelaide. Last time they all happened in the same two weeks XD;

Just beyond the Festival Theatre. This is Elder Park, with the rotunda, the River Torrens, and behind that, my fa~vourite place in the city, the most picturesque cricket oval in the world, Adelaide Oval. Well, the light towers and the back of the Bradman Stand, at least.

Classic view of Adelaide, from the Adelaide Bridge. Elder Park complete with rotunda; the Torrens complete with nice fountain, fountain that looks like a burst water main, and randim metal things we think are supposed to look like paper oragami boats; and the Festival Centre, with part of the city behind it. You wish you lived in my city X3

Adelaide Oval! =DDD <3 <3 Victor Richardson gates, the main one into the oval, and the back of the Chappell Stands. Yasee? It's picturesque already, and we're not even inside yet.

Obviously can't actually get inside at the mo--not a match day, so stuck my camera through the Victor Richardson gate and took a picci there. That's the members' stand over the other side.

Back of the Chappell Stands from the other side, through the rose garden. I <3 Adelaide Oval *^^*

Saint Peter's Cathedral, the major cathedral in Adelaide, just outside the Oval. Stick it in Pommyland and they'd call it a church, but far as we're concerned it's a cathedral =P We haven't even been here 200 years, so it's not a bad effort really.

Looking back over the bridge I took the picci of Adelaide city from. That's the main part of the city there. The tall brownish one on the right is Santos, where I work, and just to the left of that is where Dad used to work until he retired. And a random bus, w00t.

Remember the picci of the waterfall I took last time? This is on the other side of the road. The official name for it is the Fossilised Forest... but my family calls it Adelaide's nuclear defence system. You love my photography skillz from out the bus window >>;
