Wow~ busybusy morning. Fuh.
Woke up this morning, opened the curtains, and just went "meh~~~~~~~~~~ .__." Because omg, it was so foggy I could barely see the pink house next door. Ugh. So I gave myself an extra ten minutes in bed and bought a danish for brekky in the city instead. Mmm, danish.
Also? I was on the 30th floor today (top floor). Oh my freaking GOD those people earn SHITLOADS. Really plush carpets, mahogany and other spiffy dark wood everywhere, offices the size of the top floor of my HOUSE... omfg. I was feeling strangely intimidated and executive at the same time. And one cupboard I got to? It was buzzing, so I thought, "Meh, won't be anything in this. Must be an air-conditioning unit or something." But nu, it's a smegging bar fridge, stocked with champagne and expensive red wine. In an office.
So yeah. Couldn't help just standing there gawping for a few minutes (offices were empty) and wondering how much those people EARN. Best number I could come up with, as I say, was "SHITLOADS."
And they're moving buildings. Why in the name of all things shiny are they giving that stuff up? oO;
Santos is weird.
Afterwards~ I went shopping for some new shoes, cos my current work ones have a hole in the sole, as I figured out this morning walking to the bus stop when I stepped in a puddle >> I found the BEST pair, srsly. So, so comfortable, and the lady said that nurses buy those ones a lot. I know a lot of nurses/ex-nurses, so this comes as a big recommendation. And as I say, so, soo~ comfortable. And $109. Haha. But I didn't find anything else even remotely like what I'm after, so mu, I dunno. I wants them, preciousssss.
Also? Re Intro to Stuff editing-of-other-people's-fics? I am getting so incredibly twitchy about run-on sentences. There are four girls in the class who have absolutely zero comprehension of what a run-on is. Virtually every sentence is a smegging run-on, and it's really frustrating the living hell out of me ><;;;

Date: Tue, May. 9th, 2006 12:32 pm (UTC)You must get those shoes. Good shoes cost a lot, but bad shoes can cause leg and back problems. It also doesn't hurt to get shoes with gel insoles =3 I wouldn't throw out my work shoes when they started to fall apart because of the gel~~~
