First: Dean Jones, the former Australia Test batsman turned TV commentator, has been sacked by his employers, Ten Sports, after calling Hashim Amla a 'terrorist' on live television during the fourth day's play between Sri Lanka and South Africa at Colombo.

When Amla, who is a devout Muslim, took the catch to dismiss Kumar Sangakkara, Jones was heard to say "the terrorist has got another wicket".

YOU COMPLETE AND UTTER BASTARD. As I said to Sallie, what in the name of all things shiny makes you even THINK something like that? Let alone SAY it on NATIONAL FREAKING TELEVISION? I SHOOT HIM. IN THE NUTS. There are no words for the sheer idiocy of that man >< Now, if Channel Nine (Aussie cricket coverage people, unfortunately. Ten Sport is probably either Sri Lankan or South African) can also find it in their hearts to sack him, the world will be a happier place.

Second: Squad for the Champions Trophy: Ricky Ponting (capt), Adam Gilchrist, Travis Birt, Doug Bollinger, Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark, Michael Clarke, Mark Cosgrove, Dan Cullen, Brett Dorey, Brad Haddin, Matthew Hayden, Ben Hilfenhaus, Brad Hodge, Brad Hogg, James Hopes, David Hussey, Michael Hussey, Phil Jaques, Mitchell Johnson, Simon Katich, Brett Lee, Mick Lewis, Glenn McGrath, Shaun Marsh, Damien Martyn, Andrew Symonds, Shaun Tait, Shane Watson, Cameron White.

Bolded players are the South Aussies. Note complete lack of Jason Gillespie.

Who the hell is Ben Hilfenhaus? And Shaun Marsh? And Travis Birt?

askjdghasehga;lsdhg;as ><##### Not a good day for cricket news, 'tisn't.

...OMFG MICK LEWIS IS THERE. WHAT THE CRAP. He's the one who LOST us the UNLOSABLE GAME against South Africa. We made, what, 430-odd runs? Lewis then proceded to let ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-ODD go from his ten overs, and we LOST. World record, anyway. Mick Lewis should not be allowed to have a cricket ball in his hands EVER AGAIN after that. And he gets a spot in front of Dizzy?

Dizzy has taken nearly 150 wickets. Lewis has taken 7.
Dizzy averages 26 runs per wicket. Lewis averages 56--thirty more than Dizzy.
Dizzy averages 4.21 runs per over. Lewis averages NEARLY SEVEN. That is just unheard of in international cricket.
Dizzy is 31 years old. Lewis is 32.
Dizzy can bat--he's made a Test double century. Lewis has made a sum total of four runs in seven matches.
And then of course there was That Match.

Can somebody PLEASE tell me what gets Lewis selected before Gillespie? Because I am really struggling here. If it's because Lewis is a New South Welshman when Dizzy is South Aussie... cos that's seriously all the guy has going for him.

Just... no. NO, selectors, VERY NO. State-ist bastards ><#######

I'm going to bed ><#########

We heard Deano's comment, and figured he was just joking at that time...
