If you send me a message in AIM or MSN and I don't reply? I'm not there. I'm forgetful; unless I'm actually talking to someone when I leave the computer, I quite often forget to put up an away message. I don't ignore people, ever. You're all on my contact lists because you're friends, so why the hell would I want to ignore you?
Typing in capital letters or swearing at me when I'm not there will not make me come back. It'll just make me irritated when I DO come back.
Jokingly spamming my away message is fine. That makes me giggle, but serious "omg you hate me because you're not replying and you're ignoring me =(" messages irritate the living hell out of me.
Maybe I'm watching a movie in full-screen mode and can't see MSN or AIM there. Maybe a parental unit has come in to say hi, in which case it'd be a bit bloody rude to ignore them. Especially Dad who is male and doesn't understand multitasking X3
If I don't reply, I'm not there.

On a less ranty note, stuff works again! Score! Spent the evening with some of my guildies~ bumming around and having fun. I've missed that *^^*
And on an amusing note that K8 just told me, my old school spent $120 000 on the new website. ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY GRAND. HOLY CRAP, [SCHOOL NAME].
