I dunno how much people have heard about this overseas, but omg, Chaser is SO MUCH LOVE.

They've got the APEC Summit on in Sydney right now, of course. (APEC = Asia-Pacific Economic... thing. Cooperation, I think). Security is UBER tight--city's in lockdown, Friday was declared a public holiday so they could close off streets and move all the world leaders around without hastling traffic too much, there have been snipers posted on rooftops, George Bush had a convoy of 25-odd armoured black cars so he could get from his hotel to somewhere 250m down the road, and~ so on.

The Chaser's War on Everything is an Aussie comedy show that, among other things, loves testing the boundaries and seeing how far they can go, especially when it involves ticking off politicians.

OMG I can't wait for next week's episode. Assuming they're not all in jail, of course XDD

Not sure it'd work overseas, tho. It's very, very much focussed on Australian current events, so unless you know what's going on here at the time, most of it won't make much sense.

The concept tho? Well now, that depends on if you've got 6 blokes who are game enough to DO it XD

Things like this APEC one are universal, even if you don't know that it was happening. (Now I want to see if that made Dutchie news. That would be even more brilliant.) *checks* It made at least one Dutchie newspaper.

BOOYEAH they made Dutchie newspaper XD And the Netherlands has gotta be about as far from the Asia-Pacific region as possible =0 That's impressive <3

C stands for Conference, I think. I still think it's dumb that America is in it, but considering it's like the meddling lord over everything, well, whatever. There was also something about there being two ambulances specifically for Bush when he landed here during the week.

As for the Chasers, well, maybe they did go a bit overboard in my opinion but the police didn't have to go "That's not funny at all. >|" I MEAN WE ALL KNOW IT'S STUPID, AT LEAST LET THE CHASERS SAY IT.
