2007 Meme
1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Passed a full semester of uni. Shuddup >>

2. Did you keep your New Years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Technically didn't make any, but I had a goal for the Silent Harmony rewrite, which I started on in August. The goal was 100,000 words or up to chapter 19 by December 31st. I got to midway through chapter 11, which comes to 45,455 words sum total. Yeah. This comes from having written 51 words for the whole of November XD; If that had gone the way of NaNo 2006 I'd be sweet, but alas.
This year~ let's get SH: Rust finished, for real this time. Also, get a job and keep it.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nup.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nup.

5. What countries did you visit?
The furthest I've been this year is Victor Harbor. It's about 100km away \m/

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
MONEY. Coming from a stable job.

7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory and why?
Nothing particularly stands out, really. 17 August, I guess. My birthday, but more significantly the first time I've ever been drunk. That sucked =P

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Hmm~ uni. After getting a TER of 94.3 at the end of year 12, just PASSING a full uni semester shouldn't be this much of a big deal, really.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Lost two jobs.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I got a cold in winter. OH NOES.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Either my sexy widescreen HYOOJ screen monitor, which was half a present from Dad for Christmas 2006, or~ Bruce the Commodore. Even tho he's been slowly sending me broke, I heart my new car. SO much better than the Shagna.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
These three here, for all they've had to put up with and yet still spend most of the day laughing and having fun =3 The way they all support each other is admirable <3

12.1 Who kept you sane the most?
Hmmm~ probably either Sallie or Cassie. They let me rant at them on the odd occasion that I feel I need to <3 They're fabulous, they are <3

12.2 Who made you laugh the most?
Gotta be K8 and Anna XD

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Only been one person really, and if you don't know who it is now, you don't need to know.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Bruce, both in the buying of said Commodore and various accoutrements. Petrol, servicing, new tyres, all that standard crap that comes with owning a car.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Noting is jumping out at me, so I don't s'pose there really was anything. The Ashes was brilliant, but the Adelaide Test was in November 06, so that doesn't really count.

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
I don't tend to get reminded of years by songs. A couple remind me of 2005, but only because Sallie and I belted them out and made complete idiots of ourselves with them <3 2007 tho, nothing really stands out.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
Buggered if I know. Probably happier. I've been accepted into my degree, I have a shiny car, I have a sexy, sexy screen and a sexy, sexy tablet, I have three extra friends who were probably acquaintances at most this time last year... Still broke and jobless, tho ><

ii. thinner or fatter?
My boardies fit better, so I'm assuming thinner. I don't tend to think about it, tho.

iii. richer or poorer?
Poorer, tho I didn't have a job this time last year, either. Meh, much the same.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
EARNING MONEY. Then spending it, but not on the car. Spend it on travelling~ interstate to see my Cassie.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinating, but isn't that always the way?

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Already spent it, in Goolwa with the cousins. Always fun =D

21. How many one night stands?
Zero~

22. What was your favourite TV program(s)?
Avatar, QI and Top Gear.

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't hate people. I've completely lost respect for a couple, tho.

24. What was the best book you read?
The Lollipop Shoes by Joanne Harris. She's my favourite author <3 Her characters are always so strong and real, and even tho looking from the outside the storyline would seem small and domestic, the way she writes it is just so beautiful and... not extravagant, but you can see exactly why the problems the main character faces are so big and important to her. I love Joanne Harris~

25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I have no idea. I lose track of which years I discover artists.

26. What did you want and get?
TABLET 8D AND MONITOR 8D

27. What did you want and not get?
A stable job.

28. What was your favourite film of this year?
The Bourne Supremacy. We saw it in Gold Class for my birthday =D

29. What did you do on your birthday?
...Saw The Bourne Supremacy in Gold Class =D Also, Mum made duck à la Windy Point. Also, went out to dinner on my actual birthday with Anna to the Boho Bar, and got drunk on a bottle of rosé. That about covers it.

30. What one thing would have made your year more satisfying?
JOB. I hate having to stinge on presents and worry about buying myself a damn COFFEE because it'll break my budget, having petrol be a genuine expense rather than something that just happens every week... I would be totally comfortable and happy with everything if I just had a job.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Same as every other year. Funky cool jeans, hoodie and uggies in winter, boardies, a top of some sort and either thongs or barefoot in summer, depending if I'm going anywhere or not.

32. What kept you sane?
Ignoring people cos I already answered that, the cricket. Specifically Australian cricket, because the Redbacks kinda sucked for most of the year. Also, despite being something of a contradiction, the people in my head =D

33. Which celebrity did you fancy the most?
Jason Gillespie. Shuddup, he rules.

34. What political issue stirred you the most?
The Federal election, I guess. Interrupted a dedicated Saturday of doing piss-all, then the guy I voted against won. Mreh.

35. Who did you miss?
This strikes me as a stupid question for a primarily online quiz. Everyone on my flist who I haven't seen in the flesh this year, and especially Alyssa who's been killed by her uni since roughly September, so I haven't even gotten to talk to her online =(

36. Who was the best new person you met?
I'm going to say Saku, Kyuu and Shanra, all of whom I knew before 2007 but really only made proper friends with during the year.

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007.
People are there to help. Let's see if I act on that lesson this year XD;
