ASDhgkjasgdasiawe Crayfish, omfg made of yum. There is a definition of yum, and it is crayfish, oh yes X)~~ We have one a year (...except that one year when Mum found them really cheap after we'd already had one... so she bought two more. To have on one day. That never happens >>) so we make a big event of it X)~~~~~
Started off with cocktails made by Dad, Helengeli Blue. Helengeli was the island in the Maldives we were on a year and a half ago, and it was quite humid and warm this evening too, so added to the tropical feel X9 Pineapple juice, Bacardi rum, blue curacao, and Tia Lusso cos we were out of Baileys. Vera noice~ X9~~~
Entrée was oysters and scallops, because I love scallops but not oysters, and Colin's the reverse. Works out well in the end.
And thennnnnnn the CRAY <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 With five prawns each, bit of smoked salmon cut straight from the fish rather than in a packet, glass of sparkling cab sav. Mmmmmmmmmmmm so sweet and tender and alkdsghalwetghaks.
And Mum's just walked in with the last of the Haighs chocolate coated scorched almonds just to top it off. We were going to have strawberries... but no. Maybe later XD
THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is summer. Happens once a year, but that's summer. Out on the balcony with a glass of champagne and a crayfish medallion sitting on your plate. So used to mozzie bites by now that they disappear after ten minutes. Watching the garden turn pink because of the sunset, enhanced by the Belair bushfires yesterday. And oh GOD the cray. Give me a better summer than that, srsly. Kaskgblaserkthas yummmmmmmmmm.
