My computer is broked =( I turn it on, it does a lot of beeping that it normally does only one of, then continues on to SOUND like it's starting up normally, but not once does the screen turn on, and I can't get to it on the network, either, so it's something more deep-seated than just the graphics card.

I really, really hope it's fixable because I kinda have a fair bit on there that I want off. Namely my clifface. Silent Harmony I don't mind so much since the entire thing is online at the moment anyway, tho it'd be irritating to copy+paste all those chapters again. But that clifface? I will CRY if that's gone.

So yes. Waiting until a more technologically adapt member of the family becomes available, either ambushing Dad when he gets up or Colin when he comes home from work. Til then I seem to be stuck on the laptop with no access to my stuff. Please don't be dead, computer, I don't have the funds to buy a new one yet T_____T

edit~ It lives~ =D Basically? Graphics card wasn't plugged in properly, falling out of its socket. I love when computer problems are easy and free to solve.

Do you have a Gmail account, by the way? Easiest way to back up big stuff is just to send yourself a Gmail with it attached. That's how I used to keep track of all my documents in case my hard drive asploded in Japan.

We've got a thingie in the shed that's there to backup computers on a bi-weekly basis, but I discovered last week that mine hasn't been backing up for the past... year-ish. So yeah~ that's doing its thing right as I type XD
