Bye bye daylight savings =( We can officially stop pretending it's summer now, aww.

Yesterday was Gran's 90th birthday =D I swear, that woman and my dad (her son) have completely distorted my view on how old people look. Dad's nearly 60 and still has properly black hair, Gran's just gone 90 and is probably as healthy as your average 60-year-old. ALkdsghaslh my family XD;

But yus, fun day =D Cousins were all there for a change, so we had our standard conversation of how we need to go out with just the six of us some time and how it'll never actually work XD;

Me: How's your next Saturday looking?
Colin: Oakbank =D
Caro: Mildura with Michael =D
Liz: And the week after I'm going to France until June, so...
Us: ...omg we still fail.

We've also decided that when Caro and Michael get married, we're calling him our cousin-in-law. We care not if this is an actual term, we've bloody invented it for the case X3

You know, my grandma's a bit like that too. In her mid eighties and she still has most of her original hair colour, just two sweeps of grey at the temples.

It's nice that you get along so well with your cousins. Mine were never close.

My cousins are all fantastic :D We'd so catch up more often if logistics allowed, but as I say, we're rarely all in the same country, let alone city, despite all living in Adelaide XD;

I have a cousin-in-law AND a de-facto-brother-in-law! (he & my sis have been together for a decade now, so obviously he's my de-facto-brother-in-law)

Yay for your healthy genes ... mine just render me incapable of singing ;_____;

There's going to be a referendum ... because so many people over here are simple country folk (or 'country simpletons', whichever you prefer) there are actually arguments running along the lines of "It's bad for kids/cows/your health! It confuses everything!"

My favourite is the guy who was convinced daylight savings stunts kids' physical growth XD XD Because everyone in the eastern states is so short ..?

I think there are actually enough normal people who realise it's sort of useful not to be three hours behind everyone else in the country, but we'll see ...

We have the same sort of arguments cropping up about dropping or adding half an hour to either be in-line with the eastern states or a full hour behind. I hate the half-hour time zone D: I don't care which direction we go, but srsly, half a freaking hour, people! It's not that bad! You can get up half an hour earlier/later to not confuse your cows, really!

I DREAM of being in a time zone that's a full hour =(
