Tue, Oct. 27th, 2009 10:50 pmHere, have a playblast*. Actual rendering of animation appears to not be working, since Mental Ray doesn't have an option for rendering an .avi, or indeed any form of render that's not just a still image. However, need Mental Ray to make my shiny shiny squishy jelly baby looking textures. Anticipate saying bugger the textures and just throwing standard blinns on them instead, just so I have something more impressive than a playblast to show tomorrow. Everything is done except the rendering. Insert arg here.
* playblast = .avi of just the straight out maya file. No rendering, no shiny lights or pretty textures. That's just what it looks like in the maya working window. As such, little dude in the background is in more shadow than that with lighting.

If you set it to something like DivX, you wont loose any quality, and will have playblasts you can email / post without reconverting.
Looking forward to seeing the rendered project!
