GO FOR IT o/ Though frankly if you can come up with anything new that the meme hasn't already answered, I'll be impressed.

Easy! Same question I'm always interested in asking people ...

Why do you write?

Waaaay back at the beginning, with Pokémon fics, I wanted to be one of the cool people on the internets :D Cos there were so many out there that were crap and I found, like, two good ones. The rest were all 'new trainer goes out with faithful Bulbasaur/Pidgey/Pikachu to become a Pokémon MASTAAAAA' things. I wanted to write something better. Oh yeah. I was such a modest 15-year-old.

Now, having branched into the less web-famous realms of original fiction, I write because I can't stop. Everyone in my head is real, and whether they want their stories told or not, I bloody do. To drop them and stop writing about them would feel like abandoning my friends and family all at once. I love them so much~ <3 And through writing them, I get to know them. WHO WOULDN'T? :DD

Which one member of the Own would ou rather be stuck on a deserted island with and why?

If you were given the choice between unlimited wealth but never writing in Tsyllaes again and poverty but all the chance to write in Tsyllaes your life could require, which would you pick? *cruel, yes*

Question 1: OH GOD DON'T MAKE ME CHOOOOSE. Let's assume genuinely stuck and not the ulterior motive of 'who'd be best at getting us back to the mainland/not letting us starve' for starters. They'd all be horrible to be stuck with, honestly, because they'd get so stir crazy and want to train. I'd make a crap sparring partner =( Probably Ulkar? He's gotta be the most positive of them all, and since I am, too, he's probably the one I'd get along best with. Also, I want to hug him. He's easily the most huggable of the Own riders.

Question 2: ... a;slkdghaskh;lk. I'm already a pov uni student (for the next week, anyway), does that count? >> I'd take the second option. There's always the chance of getting out of poverty. Money-wise, there's not really a shitload I could DO with unlimited wealth. Get a car and house and there's not much else I could do with it. Travel the world and never use the car or the house, YEAH~. Tsyllaes, though? That's everything for me. I know, money's real and Tsyllaes, however real it seems, is still just in my head, but it's still my everything. I'd be pretty bored without that place.

*preens* Huggable is a good reason. ^-~

It doesn't, but that's okay. I am a cruel, cruel brat. *snugs* You're allowed to hit me, you know... ^-~

Do you have problems with keeping characters unique? Is it something you have to strive for, or does it come naturally?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no? Hard one to answer. I just try to keep them real. The Own started out as being caricatures, but so many of them have evolved beyond that, so that their defining trait (paranoid, family, listener, stoic, try-hard, etc) is only a small part of them now. In some ways I regret that, mostly when in SH I need an Own rider to say a line or be part of a conversation, and I realise that half of them could be saying that and there'd be no difference. A lot of them are sort of 'with the public he's ____ but when he's just around his mates he laughs and jokes with them and is just one of the guys' and since the vast majority of the time, they ARE just with their mates, they sort of start to feel the same a bit. But that only happens in SH, where they are genuinely just background characters to fill the entity that is the Own, so they do fill their role there, just... yeah.

I dunno. I rarely never have a clear plan of how I want a character to react in given situations. They often start out with a defining trait, like Sahid, who is a dick, or a defining scene, like Flannel Flower going batshit in her dungeon cell, but the rest of it is up to them. So I guess it comes naturally? In that fantastically organic way of 'don't ask me, I just write the stuff' :D
