lakjsdgha Still elated about the cricket last night. OH GOD IT WAS EPIC AWESOME akjsgha I love my boys. Whatever the hell happens here on Tuesday for the international final, nothing can come close to the absolute elation of the state win. But I'll get to that with photos in a sec. For the moment,

Yesterday before the cricket I went to buy a new camera case for the said shiny new camera, which FINALLY arrived on Monday <3 So yes. Despite the 38-or-whatever-it-was degrees, I went photo taking! Starting out with North Terrace in Adelaide. Basically just taking photos of stuff on the way to the Oval.

Gum tree! Cos I love gum tree branches and tree bark.

Same tree. I thought that was cute :D

Clearly down by the Torrens now, grazing duck!

The Torrens itself, complete with random 'paper' hat boat things. Nobody on the river in paddle boats because, as I say, 38 sodding degrees.

Grazing swan which was thankfully too preoccupied with grazing to try and eat me.

After the cricket, felt like playing with its low light settings. King William Street bridge, looking out over the Torrens to the Convention Centre, all hand held. My old camera wouldn't have even picked up anything to focus on, and even if it had, it'd be just a whole lot of squiggly lines. This camera, instead of leaving the shutter open to get as much light as it can, takes 5 or 6 photos in quick succession then matches them up. Result is CLEAR NIGHT PHOTOS YAY.

And again, zoomed out a bit to take in Elder Park and the Festival Centre. The insane number of people there are partly from the cricket and partly from the Symphony under the Stars, which I sadly missed this year due to being at the cricket but holy shit the cricket was the better option this year 8D I was hoping to get over to Elder Park at least for the 1812 Overture but alas, fireworks just started going off shortly before I was about to leave. Still got the fireworks, since the Oval is probably closer to them than Elder Park, but couldn't for the life of me hear the music. Never mind. CRICKET OMFG.
I also took some arty photos of leaves and bullrushes along the river, so I'll stick them up on
