BOUGHT A BED. This is the suite, of which I got the bed, tallboy and two bedside tables, and also a mattress. I'd written it off when I first saw it, expecting with the carving and solid wood that it'd be at least 5 grand for the suite, but no! Got the whole lot for a bit over 2k! So no, I couldn't get it under 2k as my original desire, but knowing it's not possible gave me license to spend the extra $200-ish to get something I REALLY like. Then with the mattress that took it to a smidge under 3k. Also got a quilt which is nice and fluffy and warm.

So the bed etc is due for delivery in 6 weeks, during which time I can look for quilt covers and sheets. Also a bookcase and wardrobe, tho tbh I'm not sure how I'm going to match those. Hmm. If I can keep the whole room under 5k I'll be happy but I find that highly unlikely.
