Every time I say I'll update more frequently here, and every time a month goes by, two months, and suddenly it's a year XP See if it sticks this time.

That about covers it. This has been an emotionally exhausting week that I won't get into, but suffice to say things are looking up.

HAHAH. I mean. If you're in Safari on a Mac. Nobody else should notice any difference. I fixed it up during lunch breaks over the past few days at work, that being the only Mac I have relatively steady access to.

I'm now a solid portion of the way through this--I've since done that big gum tree you see on the ref and the trunk of the one next to it, so I'd say maybe 3 hours left there. Taken a break from it tonight to get started on the logos and lettering page, so I've got all the logos presented and ready to go and the header images. Going to get as many lettering bits together now as I can and gather up some quotes for drawing during lunch at work. SHOULD be able to get that page done tomorrow, and then I'll FINALLY be almost caught back up after the delay the damn gallery caused me. Stupid thing. Wish I'd found touchTouch first instead of wasting time on PhotoSwipe. Oh well, live and learn.

It was raining ten minutes ago. Probably only long enough to make it damp and humid, but after last night's gales and 30-ish that kept waking me up, a bit of dampness just puts your mind at ease for a bit.

Most indulgent weekend ever. And it's not technically over yet either. Salmon with Anna P on Thursday night for dinner, then came up here to Mum and Dad's on Friday and had salmon again, freaking Oakbank on Saturday which is full-on from breakfast* at arse-am through lunch** and finally to the cheese platter around the time of the last race, Easter lunch*** at my aunt's in Goolwa annnnd 'leftovers****' from Oakbank coming up for dinner tonight. Homg.

Today has been spent watching Sherlock with Mum. We've just finished the last of them. We reckon Molly's got something to do with it, oh yes. We haven't figured out how, tho.

Also I finished a chapter, woooooo. I hate writing setup chapters. They feel like nothing's happening. I love reading them for the anticipation, but writing them... takes too long. Want things happening now plskthx. Will things happen this chapter? We'll see. I'm not entirely positive how I want to write it. Either Nol's or 'May's perspective but I don't know. I may write it from both and just see which works better.

Um. Footy is kind of awesome right now. I say kind of because, despite the icon, I am technically not the 19th man this year (yay saving money for house. God I'm boring) but my boys haven't dropped a game yet. Also my Porpoise is back oh god look at his arms. I'VE MISSED YOOOOOOU PLEASE DON'T GET INJURED AGAIN <3 I realise now how much I've missed footy over the summer, too. Man footy players have sexy arms 8D

I keep wanting to give myself a drawing challenge, but Photoshop is playing funny buggers. Needs moar RAM. I think. Maybe I should just do a drawing challenge with real media. I know. How long's it been? But yeah. Basically I have all these photos saved of 'this could be the Ni-Yana markets/a Llayan highland castle/a Kazinian palace' and I kinda want to have a shot at speed-painting them for atmosphere's sake, get a collection of images together so I can say THIS is Raykin, THIS is tropical Kazin, THIS is a Tsaythi trade cog. Also, my environment drawing skills are pretty much non-existent and I'd like to change that. We'll see where that goes.

For the moment, back to the writings :D

Here have an awesome curvy cello.

* Caviar was involved. As in, the real beluga shit. JAssldjgahsj this mob doesn't do things by halves, I tell you what. Smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and a full spoon of the real deal caviar which, if such a thing were purchasable in Australia, would have been at least $80 per plate. Clearly then, not purchased in Australia.

** Entree of Greek pastry thing I forget the name of, mains of filet mignon barbecued by Dad with four AWESOME sauces made by Mum and grapefruit/pistachio/watercress/pear salad by me and dessert of three fruit tarts. That were bought from a shop. I find this a cop-out after the first couple bought us all freaking CAVIAR.

*** Scallops for entree, slow roast lamb and veggies for mains and dessert of chocolate and maccadamia brownie and a chocolate ganache and peanut tart.

**** Four filets weren't required due to no-shows. I know. Who the hell doesn't show up for a day like that?
