I just finished rejigging my outline for Tarnish, which took... probably two hours? Oh yeah, you can see where this is going. In transferring the file around the network in order to print it, I've managed to copy the old one over the new one. There is no undo for this. All it does is move the copy back where it was copied from, doesn't bring back the one you copied over.

PS to those I know will say it: Buying a Mac won't help. I'll still have no rejigged outline, and I'll be loaded with a Mac.

Laptop status has been moved along to the second-last step of "with local carrier," the next step being "delivered." This means it's in Adelaide. The eta has, however, been pushed out to Tuesday. FIVE DAYS to get it from Adelaide to the Hills. A trip of 6000km from the Malaysian factory to Australia, no worries. Drive up the freeway? Ooh, no, that's AGES away, we'll have to prepare for that one.

So much hate for the city's mentality about the Hills. It's an extra seven minutes up the freeway. Dickheads. If I knew which "local carrier" it was, I'd be able to ring 'em up and just drive down there myself today. Arg and stuff.

Funny story guys!

On Tuesdays this semester I take the bus to uni, which takes roughly an hour and a half each way. Did this this morning, leaving at 10:30am for a midday lecture. The connecting bus in the city was 10 minutes late so I ended up at uni 12:05 instead of 11:55 as scheduled, going DDD: because Tuesdays are one of two shining light days for the semester and I don't like turning up late for them =(

Get to the door of the workshop room to see a sign stuck to the door saying "Sorry guys, KC is sick, workshop and lecture cancelled."

HOW HILARIOUS IS THAT? OMG I NO RITE.

So. Went to Marion for lunch purely so my three hours of bus and also the bus tickets didn't feel like a complete waste, then another hour and a half on the bus back home. Which was actually closer to two because the bus from Marion to the city was basically a 50-minute tour of suburbia before it reached the city. The only major road I saw was Anzac Highway, which the bus crossed over but didn't actually travel on.

FOUR AND A HALF HOURS. ISN'T THAT BRILLIANT? MOST WASTED DAY EVER.
