Yrae Chronicles

I've made yrae and figjam and imported over all the entries from the yrae community and HB. As usernames, HB and h-bee were both already taken in all visually-appealing forms, so time for a changeup of the arting journal. If I were to ever start my own graphic design studio (which I won't, because lol small business ownership) I'd call it Fig Jam Creative. Fig Jam = Fuck I'm Good, Just Ask Me. The only thing that doesn't import from LJ to Dreamwidth, I've noticed, is memories. Doesn't reeeally matter for my tpyo, but for the arting and writing, I refer to those all the time. It'll take forever, though. There's like two decades worth of stuff there. Bah. They also need layouts. I'll get to it.

MEANWHILE! I've gotten back onto Tinder in the last month or so. Few conversations, one of which resulted in a date on Thursday night after work. Ended up down at Glenelg for a cocktail followed by fish and chips watching the sunset, just glorious. We originally bonded over being unable to meet any ladies on Tinder who just wanted a girlfriend--it's either they have/want kids or they want a threesome with their boyfriend/husband. Also about cats being better than both dogs and kids. It was an awesome evening and I'll totally be seeing her again :D Haven't had that happen before, so cross fingers!

On the back of that, I was talking to Laura at family dinner on Friday night about how perfect Ness appears to be after all of one meeting and brought up that just about everyone I know knows I'm bi. Certainly all friends, work doesn't, idk about extended family (I don't think so tho? Some of Mum's side might know? I forget) but point was, everyone I'm close to knows except Mum and Dad. I've just always been of the thought that if it comes up in conversation then it does, but if not then it's not really important enough to come up? So anyway. Laura said, 'Can I bring it up now?' 'Sure, why not?' 'Really? You're sure?' 'Yeah, go for it!'

So I'm out now to my parents, woo! Exactly the reaction I predicted from both of them--Mum just delighted I've found someone to get excited about, and Dad of the opinion that it's my business and he doesn't care which way I go. Nothing has changed, which again, 'swhat I expected, it's just never come up in conversation before. So yay, that's out there :D Still want to meet up with Ness at least two or three more times before I start introducing her to the family, though. But yes. She awesome.
